Xichen Clasico Tour Reviews

Overall rating: (236 Reviews)

I wished the chichen Itza Classico tour involved more time at the Cenote. The first stop at the town which sold over priced souvenirs was not needed and we could have used that time for swimming and enjoying the beauty of the Cenote. The tour was overall amazing but felt a little rushed Score: Recommended: YES from Los Angeles
Phenomenal! English tour guide was excellent. The whole experience was great! Highly recommend Score: Recommended: YES from Fort Worth
Our tour guide, Raul, was wonderful! Very informative as well as entertaining. We also really appreciated the safety our driver displayed. Wonderful trip, and we would highly recommend it! Score: Recommended: YES from Leicester, NC
It was a good tour! Although not enough time at the ik kil cenote. Personally my husband and I could've be without the gift shop stop. But we understand how others would be interested. Score: Recommended: YES from Azusa, CA
Had lots to do if you have kids they could never say they're bored really a fun place Score: Recommended: YES from
I HIGHLY suggest you do a guided tour if you visit Chichen Itza. We had Tony as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and made things more enjoyable. Wishing that the Ik Kil Cenote was after the tour through the ruins though. But the cenote is well worth it. Score: Recommended: YES from Seattle, WA
Time in cenote can be longer. Score: Recommended: YES from Hong Kong
Guide was great ! Score: Recommended: YES from Alameda, CAl
My tour guide, Josue, was fantastic. Additionally, our english speaking guide around the ruins, Carlos, was just as good. Score: Recommended: YES from Philadelphia, PA
Pickup time from resort should be 7:30am or 8:00am. Our resort did not serve breakfast till 7am. We did miss breakfast due to early pickup from this tour and end up feeling tired after the tour. We love this tour but if pickup time was late we would have also gone to other tours (Tulum and Xelha) next day. Score: Recommended: YES from Maryland
The tour guide was really nice and overall experience was really good. Score: Recommended: YES from Canada
Tour group is too big for one guide. Can hardly hear him speak Score: Recommended: NO from Denver
Excellent service Score: Recommended: YES from Los Angeles CA
If you are looking for perfect combo, then this is it. The trip covers tour to chichen itza and swim at the Ik Kil Cenote. The buffet was perfect and had varieties to choose from whether you are vegetarian or not.The tour guide was excellent and knowledgable about history of yucatan. The only thing i dont like is that the bus made unecessary long stops at the Xcaret meeting point and at the silver village. should have spent more time at the last stop, valladolid village. Score: Recommended: YES from Brunei Darussalam
A 2.5hr ride turned into 5 hrs with that tourist stop. You should also tell people they will not eat lunch until 2pm, food sucked, crowded. Our guide was fabulous. Score: Recommended: YES from az
We were picked up at our hotel as planned. Driven to another location where we boarded our bus for the day. Found out here that our tour didn't include light breakfast as tour info stated. You should eat something before or bring snacks as lunch is not until 3pm. Ride to Xichen Itza is 2 hours with an additional 45 min stop over at a souvenir shop. Once we got to the ruins the guides gave an excellent 2 hour tour explaining history along the way. After this, we went to the cenote for a much desired swim and lunch. The buffet was excellent. Many choices of local entrees' and fresh fruits. 1-1/2 was just barely enough time here to swim & eat. Don't dawdle. We got back to our hotel around 8:30pm. Makes for a long day but well worth it. Highly recommend this tour. Only complaint was lack of leg room on bus. If your over 6 feet, your not going to be happy. (Maybe aisle seat with legs in the aisle.) Kind people with a very strong acknowledgement of their history, trilingual (English, Spanish, Maya)perfect! Evrything with a really good quality, I'm very thankful for this beautiful experience. Score: Recommended: YES from Hallandale Beach, FL
Should stay in cenote a bit longer Score: Recommended: YES from LA
Good tour, Chichen Itza fanscinating. Just let down by cold, poor food at Ik-Kil and lack of refreshments on coach Score: Recommended: YES from London, UK
I would like to have had more time at Ik Kil. I understand we had about a little over an hour and 15 minutes to stay there but it felt rushed. Especially having to wait in line for lockers, change and some time for photos. There should be an option for those who wants to stay at Ik Kil longer and skip out on the shopping part at Chichen Itza. Food was good but when we got there, the fruits buffet barely had more than 10 pieces of cantaloupe/watermelon. Score: Recommended: YES from Los Angeles, CA
This tour is amazing and a much better deal than the snorkel tour I took afterwards. Score: Recommended: YES from Tulsa OK
We had a fantastic time, I just wish there were more hours in the day so it could have been longer! Score: Recommended: YES from Philadelphia, PA
It was a fun experience!!!! Score: Recommended: YES from Los Angeles, CA
The entire experience was amazing! Our guide was great. We very much enjoyed our trip 'into the past'. Would strongly recommend this as the experience of a lifetime. Score: Recommended: YES from Birmingham, Alabama
The buffet food was not very good, nor was the service. Food selection was very limited. Sat there for about 45 min and we were not approached by anyone to take our drink order. Score: Recommended: YES from Toronto, Ontario
We had an amazing time. The tour was well organized. Our tour guide Angel was very knowledgeable. Score: Recommended: YES from Calgary, AB
I loved everything about this tour, especially the coordination and safety measures. Our guides took such good care of us. My only issue is with the lunch served at the sinkhole. It was not good and didn't look good either. Score: Recommended: YES from New York Ciry
Well-organized, with interesting information. Score: Recommended: YES from Oregon
The lunch time between xenote was short but the tour was cool! Also, the tour guy was knowledgeable, passionate and friendly! Score: Recommended: YES from San Francisco
The accessive amount of driving was not detailed accurately in the description and the order of the trip was not the same as it was described. Score: Recommended: YES from Phoenix AZ
Amazing tour!! Also the tour guide was very knowledgable and his english was really good. Score: Recommended: YES from New York, New York
A lot of fun! Our tour guides were engaging and entertaining. I've done a similar tour before with another company, and this one was so much more enjoyable. Score: Recommended: YES from Meridian, Idaho
Very long ride and tour doesn't mention visiting the community so that was a bonus. But it was an awesome tour and the guides were awesome as well! Score: Recommended: YES from Phoenix, AZ
The tour was great, but I wished the Chichen Itza tour had happened before the Cenote! Score: Recommended: YES from New Orleans, LA
Fantastic day Score: Recommended: YES from San Antonio, TX
Great tour Score: Recommended: YES from Baltimore, MD
Would have liked more time at the cenote and less time shopping. Alfreso was terrific and very knowledgable. Score: Recommended: YES from Cincinnati, OH
Ivan was great, he makes you feel like family he is very knowledgeable and his sharing of the Mayan culture in his own family was appreciated and blessing to my family. The trip was made safe and enjoyable by our great driver. Thank you for a great first time in Mexico experience. I look forward to coming back soon, Score: Recommended: YES from Midwest City, Oklahoma, USA
The tour wasted a lot of time at that commercial shopping place. They probably get some commission but this limited the time we got at ik kil or chichen itza. And props to the guide for being multilingual but his constant switching between Spanish and English made it very difficult to follow Score: Recommended: NO from San Francisco
This was a really good trip. The guides were very good and told us a lot about the Mayan culture so we could appreciate what we were about to see at Chichen Itza. They made sure we had an informed tour and left lots of time for us to walk around the ruins ourselves. Ik Kil was also so amazing. Again, we had plenty of time to enjoy the cenote, and it was a special thing to do. A great tour and would definitely recommend. Score: Recommended: YES from UK
Our tour guide, Tomas, was excellent--he made the day interesting and educational. We were lucky to have him give us the English-speaking tour of Xichen Itza! My only suggestion is that instead of 1.5 hours to swim and eat, you get 2 hours to swim and eat and only 2 hours at Xichen Itza. We did not need or want the extra hour of free-time at Xichen Itza because it was too hot, but we would have loved additional time at Ik Kil. Score: Recommended: YES from Cleveland, OH
Our tour guide Cesar was very entertaining & knowledgeable. He really made the trip fun for all! We did feel a little pressured to buy something at the Mayan village stop... Score: Recommended: YES from Whistler, BC
This was definitely worth the money paid. 12 hours of activities which included swimming, and exploring Mayan Ruins. Would definitely recommend this tour to my friends and family. Score: Recommended: YES from Vancouver, BC Canada
Our tour guide Luis was great. I learned so much just on the bus ride. Score: Recommended: YES from Berrien Springs, MI, USA
Had a blast! Alfonzo was great! Score: Recommended: YES from Santa barbara ca
It was a very hot day but we enjoyed it. Score: Recommended: YES from Terre Haute, IN USA
Our tour guide Fabian was awesome, if you like to know different cultures/practices this tour would help you to understand the other side of Mexico! Score: Recommended: YES from Riverside, CA
Our tour guide - Thomas did an excellent job. He gave a great tour of Chichen Itza. He is very knowledgeable and considerate. Score: Recommended: YES from Maryland, US
Tour was great with two exceptions. Having to switch buses took a very long and frustrating time since we didn't expect it. We didn't have enough time at Chichen Itza and the time spent changing buses could have been spent doing what we paid for seeing the site. Guides were intelligent, funny, and seemed to enjoy their day with us (which is not always the case on tours). Great variety of experiences, but wished for more time doing seeing the ancient area since that was what we were really paying for. Score: Recommended: YES from Edgewood, NM. USA
The tour is really mesmerising ! Score: Recommended: YES from NewHaven CT
